Your reluctance to watch Oppenheimer reminds me of something I heard about when I was a kid. Back in 1960, a film was released called I Aim For The Stars. It was a biography of Wernher von Braun, the scientist who developed the rockets used by Germany against British cities during the Second World War. The film cast von Braun in a positive light. Not surprisingly, that upset people in Britain. They believed that, instead of making a movie about von Braun, he should have been prosecuted as a war criminal. I can imagine the same feelings in Japan towards Robert Oppenheimer.
