You summed up the problem with political satire, JD. Readers aren’t disturbed by satires of food fads or footwear. But political satires bring up things which make people anxious and angry.

I use satire to spotlight problems which people should know about. I use humor to make the articles taste better. Nonetheless, the problems are hard to swallow. That’s why I’ll never blame anyone for bypassing my satires in favor of articles which are easier to digest.
