This is a fine sketch of the 747, Garry. It’s such a cool plane. And so bloody big. I watched them on radar a few times, back when I was an air traffic controller. It was one of the few aircraft I’ve ever seen that generated multiple radar blips when approaching the airport head-on and within, say, twenty miles. There’s be one blip where the radar bounced off the massive nose. And another, wider blip, nearly touching the first yet still distinct, from the radar reflected off the wing. (The C-5 was even neater. Three blips. The third was off the huge T-tail.)
