This is a fine job of writing, Glenn. Naturally, being ex-Navy, I was especially interested in the photo of the Agile class minesweepers at Bellingham Shipyards. Though they took to the sea around the time I was born, a few were still in commission when I served during 1974 to 1978. I wish I could have gone to sea, but women couldn’t serve aboard warships back then. However, when I think of the Agiles - little 850 ton wooden tubs - I’m ok with having been shore-based.
