That’s very kind of you to say, LM. Thank you. There are indeed similarities between our operations and Red October. The main difference: they’d progressed to using smart weapons, so could get away with conventional explosives. We couldn’t target subs so precisely, so we needed the equivalent of dropping a stick of dynamite in the water to catch a fish. Only each of our “sticks” contained the equivalent of 1,600 tons of dynamite. Such depth charges are no longer needed; far as I know, they’ve been decommissioned.
