Thank you Susi. While this analogy is true in some ways, it's ridiculous in others. Sauron tries to sound like a populist, but he's obviously a traditional Republican. He wants to "reform" Social Security, for instance, by raising the retirement age from 65 to 7,000. Sauron's just wants to piss off Elrond: since El is 6,500 years old, he'd have to work another 500 years before he could collect full benefits. Yes, Republicans like Sauron's decide to punish his enemies. But they'd draw the line at letting him to monkey with their Social Security benefits.
