Thank you Nandkishor. I, too, had "trunk" moments while securing the treasures, heirlooms, and important documents in Dad's house, and pitching the junk. I found a box in which Mom had kept the letters I wrote to her and Dad when I was in the Navy (1974-78). Reading them took me back in time. I found a small, wooden box containing Dad's lieutenant bars and dog tags from when he was in the Army (1943-45). He was so pleased when I brought them to his apartment in the retirement home.
