Thank you Malky. Why aren't some of our Supreme Court justices in jail? Because it's not against our laws for them to take bribes. American legislators have long assumed that if someone rises to their rank, they're the kind of person who wouldn't allow themselves to be influenced by money or ideology. They'd base their opinions on the U. S. Constitution. As a result, our Congress hasn't made Federal judges, our president, and various other officials subject to the same laws as little people. The only way to hold the Justices accountable is by impeaching them, which is a political exercise - not a prosecutorial one - performed by Congress. And because our Congress is so dysfunctional, the impeachment process doesn't work. Case in point: our latest two attempts to hold a president accountable for criminal acts.
