So many memories indeed, Gael. The details in this piece came from a log I kept in a Microsoft Word file on my laptop. I used it to manage stuff for Dad, starting in Y2000 when Mom passed, Dad had to go into assisted living, and I had to dispose of the house. I kept up the log 'til Dad passed in 2009, and thereafter until his estate was settled. Reading it the past couple weeks dredged up so many memories, I occasionally needed to self-medicate like I did back then with a tumbler of Old Tub.
