No can do this time. This is first-class writing. Really: first-class. Bella Smith is only half right (her comment is among the Responses): you didn’t try to be funny and edgy; you were funny and edgy!

As for hitting God and religion pretty hard, I say this as an elderly, blue-haired, Presbyterian church lady in good standing: sometimes God and religion have it coming.
