Many of us in the deep-red Michigan 1st Congressional district agree with you, James. Rather than protesting what's going on, we're kicking back.

Most folks around here voted for our extreme right-wing congressman and Trump toady four times, and three times for Trump. Now they're watching with apprehension as DOGE and the Republicans in Congress move to slash Medicaid, which 20% of our residents rely on; veterans benefits - 8% of residents are vets; and programs which are both worthwhile and sustain our fragile mainly-rural economy.

Up to now, our MAGAs have engaged in magical thinking that Trump and his minions will improve their lives. There's no point trying to tell them otherwise. And no need: their Magical Thinking is about to run head-on into Harsh Reality.
