I’ve favored masculine views of romance since I was at Naval Air Station Keflavik in ‘75 and ‘76. Five thousand Navy and Air Force servicemen. Five hundred of us Navy servicewomen. A good ratio for us. Less good for the lads. Which is why we’d say “Keflavik: where men are men and the sheep are nervous.”
