It took two weeks elapsed time to come up with this piece. About 1,600 words: clearly, I’m no Stephen King, who’s well-known for being a fast writer. I can research all afternoon, but I run out of creativity after four hours, tops. That said, thoughts bubble up unexpectedly throughout my waking hours. I keep a Post-It pad and pencil handy so I can jot them, else I lose them.
