I had no idea the jokes I’ve missed by living someplace with no Scots. On the Leelanau peninsula, we’re all descended from Bohemians, Chippewas, Germans, Norwegians, Odawas, Poles, Quebecois, and Swedes. There’s nothing funny about any of us. Fortunately we’ve got Chicago tourists during the Summer. They aren’t funny either. But we enjoy mocking their accents.
