Ha! You're so right, May. I was in a grocery line during the week before Thanksgiving, three months after the strike started. Some people recognized me, asked how I was doing, and made remarks which betrayed the fact that I was a PATCO striker. Next thing I know, I'm getting angry comments from people in my line and the adjacent ones, from people whose travel plans had been screwed up by the strike. If one was to say PATCO did a poor job of explaining to the public why we did what we did, that would be a gross understatement.
