Chamberlain! I visited his grave at Pine Grove Cemetery. A great man, yet a simple marker. I don't recall Chamberlain's house, but know I saw it while I was there: it was among the Federal Style houses I used to admire on Maine Street.

I recall Southport Island, too. Never visited it. But we owned the airspace out past Rockland and up to 8,000 feet. We'd provide radar traffic advisories to private planes headed for Wiscasset. If they cruised up the coast, they'd turn north at the Sheepscot, and report their positions in relation to Southport.
